Dear colleagues, dear faculty and students! Friends!
From the depth of my heart, I congratulate you on the birthday of Kazan University!
Today marks its 221st anniversary, and this number is more than just a number. Behind each year are people: great scientists, talented teachers, and students whose discoveries and painstaking work have formed the sturdy foundation not only of KFU but of all Russian science.
We proudly remember our renowned scientific schools born within these walls. The rapid development of mathematical thought, lawmaking, world-changing research in chemistry and medicine, Asian studies, and linguistics鈥攖his is our solid ground, which persists and is strengthened in our modern laboratories, lecture halls, and the work of young researchers.
Today, Kazan University is a powerful scientific and educational center that carefully preserves its traditions and boldly looks forward. Our goal is not simply to impart knowledge, but to cultivate thoughtful, responsible, and passionate individuals capable of addressing the most complex challenges.
We actively develop interdisciplinary projects, strengthen international ties, and create an infrastructure that enables creativity and discovery at the highest level.
Therefore, such a significant age for one of Russia’s leading universities has become for us all a true symbol of the continuity of generations, as well as the connection between our great past and our dynamic present and promising future.
On this festive day, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our entire large team, whose dedication serves as an example, and whose research brings glory to our alma mater.
A special word to our students. Your energy and passion for knowledge are the main source of our shared confidence in the future.
And, of course, we always remember our graduates, whose successes in various parts of the world are the best testimony to the quality and relevance of the education received here.
I wish us all to maintain our spirit of innovation, support each other in our boldest endeavors, and continue to write the glorious history of Kazan University together.
