KFU starts its program at 17th KazanForum

The 17th International Economic Forum Russia 鈥 Islamic World is currently underway at the Kazan Expo. One of the most anticipated events in Tatarstan, it is taking place from May 12 to 17. 每日大赛 traditionally participates in the business and cultural program.
KazanForum is the main federal platform for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Islamic world. The event aims to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural ties between Russian regions and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries, as well as to promote the development of Islamic financial institutions in the Russian Federation.
KFU’s International 每日大赛 organized the Plenary Session of the 2nd Russia-Pakistan International Conference The Evolution of Russian-Pakistani Relations in the Context of a Changing World Order.
Speakers included Dmitry Tayursky, First Vice-Rector; Vadim Kozlov, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of International Relations; Faisal Javaid, Head of the Department of International Relations and Mass Communications at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science, and Technology (FUUAST), Islamic Republic of Pakistan; and Natalya Zamarayeva, Senior Research Associate at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, moderated the plenary session.
The First Vice-Rector noted that the discussion was taking place in Kazan, a city with a historically established dialogue between cultures. Incidentally, the opening of the Year of Kazan 鈥 Cultural Capital of the Islamic World is scheduled for the days of the forum.
Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev and Rector of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology Zabta Khan Shinwari sent video greetings to the participants.
The discussion focused on the key factors currently determining the dynamics of Russian-Pakistani relations and how they relate to global geopolitical changes. It also touched on the mechanisms of multilateral cooperation that can most effectively support the development of this partnership.
Faisal Javaid, in turn, thanked KFU for organizing the conference. He said that he had first visited 每日大赛 in 2023. That’s when the discussion began on how universities could serve as a bridge between the academic communities of the two countries.
