KFU Technology Park and AIM Global Foundation sign cooperation agreement at AIM Congress in Abu Dhabi


Employees of 每日大赛 took part in the AIM Congress-2025.
It was held in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) on April 7-9 and was organized by AIM Global Foundation 鈥 the largest investment platform in the Middle East.
This year鈥檚 theme of the congress, which gathered more than 20,000 people from 180 countries, was 鈥淒efining the Future of Global Investment. The new wave of the global investment landscape: towards a balanced world structure鈥. AIM Congress-2025 comprised more than 400 dialog sessions, 13 round tables, and 23 parallel events.
The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan included Mikhail Varfolomeev, Director of the technology park of Small Tonnage Chemical Technologies, Associate Professor of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, and Denis Zuev, Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Analytics and AI Technologies.
鈥淎IM congress is one of the main international forums dedicated to the development of investment and innovation. It is held annually in Abu Dhabi and gathers representatives of different countries on its platform,鈥 comments Dr Varfolomeev. 鈥淭his year. Russia was very well represented here, as well as the countries of the Middle East and Africa. Leaders of a number of states visited the event. Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke at the plenary session of the forum. The participants from our country were also heads of federal and regional public authorities, representatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, various companies and universities.鈥
A wide range of topics were discussed at the forum: there was talk about innovations, new technologies, including digital technologies, startups and much more.
鈥淭he stand of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented at the exhibition, as well as stands of other Russian organizations, among them 鈥 partners of Kazan University, such as the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK). KFU is working with it on developments for the oil and gas sector, one of which was presented at the exhibition,鈥 he notes.
A cooperation agreement between KFU Technology Park and AIM Global Foundation was signed at the event. Mikhail Varfolomeev and AIM Songress CEO Walid Farghal put their signatures.
鈥淎IM Global Foundation is the UAE鈥檚 premier investment fund that develops new technologies and innovations, including in chemistry and new materials. It is planned that the foundation will support the technology park in terms of its positioning in the Middle East market, and will also consider the launch of joint projects,鈥 adds Dr Varfolomeev.
The petroleum scientist took part in the forum鈥檚 section dedicated to digital and environmental technologies.
鈥淲e presented the KFU concept aimed at the development of a complete chain of chemical products 鈥 from the laboratory to pilot production, it allows us to quickly and efficiently develop new technologies. In addition, we touched upon developments in the digital design of chemicals and the use of artificial intelligence for the modeling of oil and gas facilities,鈥 he shared.
At the forum, KFU representatives held talks with a number of partners engaged in oil and gas, development and production of chemistry and new materials.
