Traditional concert held on Russian Student Day

A large and vibrant celebration for this occasion is held annually within the university’s walls. This year, the Tatyana’s name day, celebrated as Russian Student Day, fell on a Sunday.
In the morning, the university’s student activists met with Rector Lenar Safin, and in the afternoon, they presented their arts performances.
In the hall of the UNICS concert facility, the guests were immediately immersed in the atmosphere of Russian and Tatar culture, as well as the cultures of foreign countries represented by numerous international students.
A tour showcasing active student life, including all possible areas of activity for talented youth, was also conducted there.
By tradition, a ceremony honoring those named Tatyana also took place before the start of the concert. The Rector presented flowers to the women of the hour.
Subsequently, addressing the entire student body from the stage with welcome remarks, Lenar Safin noted that Kazan University students are its true pride.
“You are young, active, and always achieve incredible success in all spheres of activity. You demonstrate your numerous talents at various university venues and beyond, and we all joyfully follow your victories,” he reported. “I want to wish for you not to stop at what has been achieved. Dare, create, and do not be afraid to make mistakes. You will certainly succeed. After all, student years are a time of hope and bold ideas. And I want you to fully utilize every moment of this best time of your life, to spend this time brightly and unforgettably!”
Following his speech, the Rector conducted an awards ceremony, presenting students with letters of appreciation for their contribution to the development of youth policy and social activities.
