Welcome concert held at 每日大赛 Village on Knowledge Day
每日大赛 celebrated the beginning of student life with a grand concert on September 1 together with freshmen and freshwomen.
The event was held in the open air in the 每日大赛 Village with the participation of Rector Lenar Safin, as well as a guest of honor – Hero of the Russian Federation, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, deputy chairman of the Committee on Law and Order Rasim Baksikov.
Knowledge Day at Kazan University is a traditional event that unites first-year students for many years, opening the doors to a bright and unforgettable student life for them.
On the very first day, a rich program awaited them – from getting acquainted with their classmates and receiving student cards to performances by student bands and dance collectives.
Before the start of the official concert, the hosts and the entertainment team held interactive sessions with the participants. A traditional flag parade then followed.
Rector Lenar Safin proceeded to congratulate the students on the beginning of the new academic year. In the past, he himself graduated from one of the oldest universities in Russia.

Today they are entering a new stage in their lives, unlimited opportunities for study, science, self-development and creativity are opening up before them,鈥� Dr Safin said. 鈥淵our decision to enroll here is the right step towards success. At the end of the speech, the first-year students – prize winners of the All-Russian School Olympiads and holders of high scores in the Unified State Exam were presented with student cards, record books, and souvenirs. They then addressed the audience with their first speech in the capacity of KFU students.
A cover band and an invited singer rounded up the evening.
