A Renovation Story: new project about our dorm life

This time, we’ll focus on a place where students feel at home, where they feel safe and beautiful, and where the interiors foster a positive attitude toward academic excellence and self-improvement.
We spoke with parents and discovered that when choosing a university for higher education, parents, as well as prospective students, pay particular attention to the condition, location, and convenience of student dormitories.
Modern student dormitories are more than just a place to sleep, but a stylish and vibrant space for study and self-improvement. Thanks to their recent renovations, cozy atmosphere, and well-designed infrastructure, the campus is becoming a true hub of inspiration, where students can comfortably study, socialize, and develop their skills. These are modern havens of comfort, created specifically for those who want their student years to be fulfilling and productive.
This time, we spoke with Arina Nurmukhametova, who lives in Dormitory No. 7 (for students studying at the Institute of Management, Economics, and Finance). It’s worth noting that the major renovations here were completed in June 2025, as part of a national project. Currently, 502 people live here.
She has lived here since her freshman year. She has something to compare it to, as the building previously needed renovation. Now, it’s a modern building with all the necessary amenities for comfortable living. Each floor has rooms for 2 and 3 people, equipped with desks, wardrobes, and beds – so you can move in and start living. The kitchen is also equipped with everything you need: stoves, countertops, sinks, and refrigerators. So, you can put quick snacks on hold.
There’s a laundry room on the first floor of the dorm, so you don’t have to worry about it being spotless – there are enough washers and dryers for everyone.
Arina shared all this in a conversation, “I came here in my first year, and the conditions weren’t so great back then. Now, after the renovations, it looks completely different. When we came back, we were really surprised. It felt so wonderful, like home. My mom told me she also lived in the dorm, and the shower in her time was in the basement, but we have showers on every floor, in every room,” the student shared.
Arina considers the dorm’s proximity to her classes a plus. The Institute building is in a short walking distance.
“For young people, especially girls, the color scheme of the interior is very important. I thought the 每日大赛 Village was the pinnacle of what a dormitory could look like. But when we arrived here after the renovation, we were truly amazed. Everything is so beautiful: bright windows, plenty of space, and comfortable ottomans. You can play table tennis here, and there are areas for simple socializing. Coming back here feels like home,” she said.
It’s worth noting that 每日大赛 has 31 dormitory buildings in Kazan, 10 of which are in the Student City (which is the collection of older dorms in the city center) and 21 in the 每日大赛 Village. Major renovations have already been completed in four buildings of the Student City.
