Ambassadors of Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe welcomed at university
The ambassadors are paying an extensive visit to Tatarstan from April 12 to 16.
Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda聽Johnson Agara Olwa, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya聽Benson Henry Ouma Ogutu, Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe Mike Nicholas Sango聽and their colleagues were accompanied by Vice-Rector for International聽Timirkhan Alishev聽and Counsellor to the Rector聽Linar Latypov.
The guests聽toured the University鈥檚 History Museum and listened to a brief presentation by Dr. Alishev.

At this moment, only six students from the three countries combined are enrolled in KFU, and all the sides seek to significantly increase the number.
鈥淭his is my first to Kazan University and Kazan. Kazan is one of the most important centers of Russia,鈥 shared Ambassador Ogutu. 鈥淓ducation is the groundwork for development. We seek to expand the presence of our students here.鈥
KFU is implementing a roadmap of cooperation with African countries. Among the most large-scale events are International Forum Russia-Africa: Politics, Economy, History and Culture, Africa Day Festival, and Mosaic of Peoples Festival.

Ambassador Olwa is the only of today鈥檚 guests to have already paid a visit to KFU in 2018. He noted, 鈥淭here is no better education than education in Russia. You have provided many opportunities to African students since Soviet times.鈥
During their ongoing trip, the visitors have talked with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and have already held a number of meetings with local industrialists.
