Courses held for new student facilitators
Over 40 employees visited the event organized by the Department of Youth Policy.
Department Head Yuliya Vinogradova addressed the attendees, 鈥淲e pay much attention to preparing facilitators because a student鈥檚 success depends on those who help and guide them. That鈥檚 why it鈥檚 important to work with facilitators and project leads.鈥�
The visitors listened to reports about the Department of Youth Policy鈥檚 support for student facilitators and psychological approaches to communication with young people. 2022鈥檚 best facilitator Mariya Lushpayeva shared her experience of dealing with students.
鈥淭he aim of this short course is to help an educator organize their facilitating work with students. We want to show what鈥檚 available in social welfare, dormitory placements, extracurricular activities, etc.,鈥� added Vinogradova. Special attention was paid to psychological assistance and teambuilding for students.
Facilitators, or, as they are commonly called in Russian practice, curators, are always assigned to freshmen and sometimes more senior students to help them adapt to university life in Russian universities.
