Dormitory #7 opened after reconstruction

The renovations in the building on Butlerova 6, housing young people from the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance, lasted for eight months.
Among the works were facade insulation, partial window replacements, and others. The dorm comprises 542 beds and 2 rooms for individuals with impaired mobility.
“All utilities systems were replaced. External insulation now provides comfortable conditions year-round. New windows have better soundproofing as well,” notes Vice-Rector for Construction and Maintenance Airat Khalikov.
The interiors look much fresher and facilitate a favorable environment for studies and recreation. As usual, they were designed by students themselves under the guidance of the experts from the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts.
“We’d like to express sincere gratitude for this comprehensive overhaul. It’s been large-scale, including full replacement of floors, wallpapers, and much more. It’s important to note such big improvements like repaired elevators, installation of kitchen hoods, replaced heat radiators, and new mattresses. Apart from in-room lavatories, there are now also communal restrooms on every floor – very convenient! Thanks for the comfort and care,” shares student Yegor Tutaev.
