Historical photos of Japan displayed at KFU鈥檚 Lobachevsky Museum

The exhibits are both from the KFU鈥檚 Ethnography Museum and the Multimedia Art Museum of Moscow.
The photos depict urban and rural scenery, people of various backgrounds, gardens, parks, etc.
The Ethnography Museum鈥檚 Japanese collection mostly dates back to the period after the Russo-Japanese War (1904 鈥 1905). Apart from the photos, there are also personal items 鈥 clothing, notebooks, and mail envelopes.
The exhibition opens a cycle of projects linked with journeying and exploration. After this one closes in July, the next one will be dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea. It will display original photo albums from sea journeys undertaken by university professors, daily journals, guidebooks, postcards, and much more.
