University visited by Prime Minister of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing

He headed a large delegation of officials 鈥 the first ever from the Southeast Asian country in the history of Kazan University.

Prime Minister Hlaing visited the History Museum, where he was greeted by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Chief Counsellor to the Rector Riyaz Minzaripov, Counsellor to the Rector for International Cooperation Linar Latypov, and other employees.

Dr Alishev welcomed the guests and spoke about KFU鈥檚 history and current strategy. He mentioned that KFU is a home for 50 thousand students, and over 10 thousand of them are overseas nationals from 100 countries.

鈥淚 want to thank you for finding time to visit our university. KFU is one of the leading research universities in Russia. We also have students from Southeast Asia. However, at this moment, none of them are from Myanmar. Our doors open for those who seek studies,鈥 said the Vice-Rector.

He gifted a memorial engraving of the Main Building to the Prime Minister as a parting courtesy.
