Vice-rectors of Uzbekistani universities received short-term training at Kazan University
The course lasted from 25 May to 6 June and was titled 鈥楥ommercialization of Results of Intellectual Labor鈥�.
Vice-Rector of KFU for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev comments, 鈥淪ince last year, employees of Uzbekistani universities have regularly received advanced training here. However, there is a first such instance when a delegation of vice-rectors, the people making decisions about research and innovation, are here. We are implementing this initiative together with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On 9 June, a second group will arrive.鈥�
Vice-Rector of KFU for Digital Transformation and Innovation Dmitry Pashin mentions that there is a plan to provide courses to vice-rectors of 175 Uzbekistani universities, 鈥淭he Ministry had long researched the experience of various Russian universities in entrepreneurship and infrastructure for innovation. The audit resulted in choosing us.鈥�
鈥淒uring the studies, we learned about commercialization of research projects, about creating and planning them,鈥� shares Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology Mirzo Sharipov. 鈥淚 will definitely use this knowledge in my work.鈥�
The same sentiment was expressed by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Navoi University of Mining Technology Tulkin Nurmurodov, 鈥淗onestly, I didn鈥檛 expect to see such a university in Kazan. I鈥檝e studied in the United Kingdom, I鈥檝e often visited universities in the West, so I have a framework for comparison. You have a great infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories. I sincerely hope for a fruitful cooperation with your university.鈥�
Another contract is in development with the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan. It will include provisions for research internships for Uzbekistani scientists.
