Over 2,000 people join KFU’s Immortal Regiment march on Victory Day
In Kazan, the total number of participants reached 130,000, which amounts to 10 percent of local urban population.
As usual, the KFU team joined the marching column from the university’s Main Building on ulitsa Kremlyovskaya.
People shared their stories about the ancestors who contributed to the victory on the war fronts and the homefront. This is what the Immortal Regiment aims to do – save the precious memories of the Great Patriotic War in every family.
Accompanied by war time songs and memorabilia, the KFU column moved along the Kremlyovskaya to the Kremlin, where the march ended at the Millennium Square.
“I sensed some unity when I came here. Looking at my friends and teachers, I feel that we are united by our duty to those who sacrificed everything for out future,” shaured student Liya Osnos.
