Kazan University was part of the Tatarstan-Uzbekistan Business Forum in Tashkent
The event was held on June 16 鈥� 17.
The forum was opened by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.
Before the conference, the guests toured Tatarstan鈥檚 booths at UzExpoCenter. Kazan University was among them.
Rector Ilshat Gafurov told President Minnikhanov and Deputy Prime Minister Umurzakov about KFU鈥檚 cooperation with Uzbekistan. In particular, of the 10,179 overseas students at the University, 2,525 are Uzbekistani nationals. As we鈥檝e mentioned, KFU also plans to open a campus in Jizzakh Region.
Uzbekistan is interested in many products offered by Tatarstani businesses, including helicopters, petrochemicals, agricultural equipment, automotive tyres, food, etc.
