KFU Arts Team takes up its first design project
Students of the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts are going to renovate two floors of the Student Dorm N 5.
Acting Deputy Director for Social Work of the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts Ilgiz Razetdinov, who is in charge of the team, said that 24 rooms and both hallways will be renovated.
The Arts Team comprises 40 people; they present their projects and make working drafts. Thus, the collective serves as an internship platform for the young people.
Mr. Razetdinov also said that the students are ready to help others who want to refurbish their dorms.
鈥�When we visited the dorm for the first time, we saw dark and unwelcoming hallways,鈥� said student Tatyana Yakovleva. 鈥淲e decided to use light colors to make the dorm more comfortable. We placed a wall panel near the entrance to liven up the hallway. The balance of night and day, darkness and brightness, summer and winter 鈥� this is our design idea.鈥�
A dweller of the newly renovated fifth floor, Alsina Suleymanova, is elated, 鈥淥ur floor has really got better. We were glad to support the initiative and helped however we could.鈥�
The renovation is close to an end, and the most active contributors will be duly awarded for their efforts.
