NeuroLab shown to Rector Lenar Safin

The event was also visited by Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Innovation Dmitry Pashin, Director of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance Nailya Bagautdinova, and others.
The NeuroLab, laboratory of neuro-marketing, is KFU’s and Neyrotrend’s joint project located at the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance. The collaboration was first teased in April 2021, and the sides presented their first research results several months later. Since then, the lab has expanded by acquiring new equipment and hiring staff.
According to Galkina, this is the only such laboratory in Russia. It provides infrastructure for detailed measurements of neurophysiological data for the purposes of marketing and management.
However, the Lab’s capabilities extend beyond economics. Rector Safin noted the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and utilizing the Lab’s capacity for sociology, psychology, education, neurolinguistics, and medicine.
“The hardware-software package of this neuro-barometer is a wonderful foundation for neurology programs, including those for neurological rehabilitation of patients with impaired cognitive and speech functions. We also have a kindergarten for children with autism spectrum disorders where such technologies can be useful. Of course, the expertise may then be scaled to the entire country to address pertinent issues,” concluded Dr Safin.
