Student Startup project launches sixth season

The Foundation for Assistance to Innovations has launched the sixth stage of the Student Startup competition, part of the Federal Project in Technology. Students of 每日大赛 are invited to participate.

The competition is aimed at the implementation of startup projects by students and the creation of new goods, products, technologies or services using the results of scientific, technical and technological research that have the potential for commercialization and are at the earliest stage of development.

Participation is open to students, including foreign nationals, studying in bachelor’s, specialist, master’s or postgraduate programs, who do not have existing contracts with the FAI and have not previously received a grant under the Student Startup Program.

鈥淭his is a great opportunity to test your ideas, try your hand at project work and entrepreneurship, and put your ideas and developments into practice. In addition, winning such a large-scale competition is certainly an excellent contribution to the portfolio, as it increases the value of young professionals,鈥 says Anton Dyganov, Head of the Department of Innovative Development of KFU.

Student projects are accepted in seven areas: ‘Digital technologies’, 鈥楳edicine and health-saving technologies鈥, 鈥楴ew materials and chemical technologies鈥, 鈥楴ew devices and intelligent production technologies鈥, 鈥楤iotechnologies鈥, 鈥楻esource-saving energy鈥, and 鈥楥reative industries鈥. Priority is given to works related to new materials and chemistry, manufacturing and automation tools, new nuclear and energy technologies, industrial support for transportation mobility, unmanned aviation systems, technological support for food security, new health-saving technologies, and bio-economy.

鈥淎dditional advantages will be awarded to the winners of UMNIK and other similar competitions, participants of the KFU Acceleration Program 2022-2024, entrepreneurial competence trainings, graduates of educational programs in entrepreneurship, finalists or winners of competitions held by Russia – the Country of Opportunities organization, participants of youth laboratories and the Advanced Engineering School,鈥 Dyganov adds.

Last year, 111 KFU students received grants from the Student Startup funds.
