Rector Lenar Safin’s address on Russian Science Day
Dear professors, researchers, and students of 每日大赛!
On behalf of the leadership and myself, I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Russian Science!
This is a holiday for those who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of truth, the creation of knowledge, and technological progress. Yet at the same time, it is a celebration for all of us, for science opens new horizons for the well-being of humankind and serves as the foundation for development and creativity.
For 每日大赛, with its more than 200-year history, science has always been and remains a core part of its identity, a source of pride, and a driving force.
We carefully preserve and build upon the legacy of our world-renowned scientific schools. At the same time, we are actively shaping new research directions at the intersection of disciplines, responding to the challenges of the modern world.
From astrophysics and new materials chemistry to biomedicine and digital tools for the humanities – our scientists make significant contributions to both Russian and global science.
I would like to express my gratitude to all of you, and especially recognize our particular pride – young researchers and talented students.
Your energy, fresh perspectives, and boldness in setting research goals are the key to our future. The university strives to provide the best possible conditions for this: grants, state-of-the-art laboratories, and opportunities to take part in international projects and prestigious conferences.
Dear colleagues! I am certain that your greatest achievements lie ahead. I wish you an unquenchable curiosity about the world, enthusiasm, and inspiration. May your research be relevant, your ideas daring, and your experiments successful.
