Riyaz Minzaripov confirmed as President of 每日大赛 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia

The decision was made public on 18 January.
Minzaripov’s first term in office will end on 18 August 2027.
The appointee graduated from Kazan University in 1976 and has since remained within its walls in various capacities. His first position was Deputy Chairman of University Committee of Komsomol (Communist Youth Union of the USSR).
“My father is also an alumnus of Kazan University. I wanted to enroll since childhood. I just wanted to study well when I was admitted,” he says.
As for his new responsibility, the President notes, “When colleagues started congratulating me yesterday, I told everyone that we are going further together. Only in unison can we work well and achieve success. I will do everything to meet the expectations of my peers and the Rector.”
In conclusion, Minzaripov said about the President’s duties, “At a university, the president is the primary aide to the Rector. They must help in implementing the university’s plans. I will work for our common good.”
The new president was recommended for this position by the Academic Board of KFU in November 2022.
Biography
Riyaz Minzaripov was born on 25 September 1951 in the village of Nizhnee Almurzino, Alkeyevsky District, Tatarstan. He graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Kazan University. He received a candidate of sciences (PhD) degree in philosophy in 1985 and a doctoral (DSc) degree in sociology in 2008.
