Representatives of Consulate General and Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with students
Vice-Consul General of Iran in Kazan Massoud Mollai and Counselor for Science of the Embassy of Iran in Moscow Mohsen Najafi arrived on 9 March.
They were joined by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Director of the International 每日大赛 Olga Vershinina.
Vice-Rector Alishev said that KFU currently hosts 634 Iranian nationals, and over 400 are in the Preparatory School.
Vice-Consul Mollai noted, 鈥淚ranian students are enrolled in three universities in Kazan, and we keep in touch with all of them. If we find out about any difficulties that they encounter, we try resolve such issues together with university executives.鈥
Counselor Najafi told the audience that he had studied in Moscow and knows Russian. However, the students preferred to talk in their native language.
The majority of their questions pertained to online studies. Some of the students said that they want to move to the online format because of the current international tensions, and some noted that online lectures can be watched several times and thus help better learn the material.
However, Dr. Alishev replied that medicine courses cannot be moved online, 鈥淚 think you understand that you can only become a qualified doctor through practical learning.鈥
All the speakers emphasized the importance of learning Russian language throughout the whole duration of one鈥檚 studies and not just in the preparatory year. 鈥淚f you know Russian well, you won鈥檛 have any problems with your education,鈥 assured Timirkhan Alishev.
