Sixteen research projects to be supported by Russian Science Foundation
Results were published for the 鈥淔undamental and applied research by small groups鈥� category.
The funding will be allocated in 2022 鈥� 2023 for groups of no more than 4 scientists; the average total sum is 1.49 million rubles a year.
The projects are as follows (project leads are given in parentheses);

鈥淎nomalous magnetism of powders and single crystals of binary rare earth fluorides鈥� (Eduard Baybekov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics);
鈥淪tructural ordering and microscopic dynamics of molecular liquids with non-trivial geometry under external influence鈥� (Ramil Khusnutdinov, Associate Professor of the Department of Computational Physics and Modeling of Physical Processes);
鈥淐rystallization kinetics and thermodynamic aspects of obtaining amorphous forms of drugs鈥� (Alexander Gerasimov, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry);
鈥淎nalogs of natural compounds – phosphorus-containing betaines – effective complexing agents and carriers of rare-earth metal ions and organic substrates鈥� (Natalya Davletshina, Associate Professor of the Department of High Molecular and Organoelement Compounds);
鈥淔unctional polymer nanocomposites with a gradient of composition and properties created by a magnetic field鈥� (Rustem Amirov, Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry);
鈥淯ltrafast amorphization of complexes of natural beta-cyclodextrin with medicinal substances鈥� (Askar Gatiatulin, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry);
鈥淚nvestigation of the effect of nanoconstruction on the mechanism and kinetics of polymerization of aryl cyanates and the dynamics of polytriazine networks鈥� (Roman Nosov, Senior Research Associate of the Laboratory of In-Situ Combustion);
鈥淏iodiversity of extreme ecotopes: microbiome and metagenomic profiling, producers of antagonistic metabolites, proteomic analysis of exosomes鈥� (Olga Ilyinskaya, Head of the Department of Microbiology);
鈥淔orecast of the scale of carbon dioxide emission during the change of land use of fallow soils based on the analysis and modeling of the spatial heterogeneity of their humus state鈥� (Kamil Giniyatullin, Associate Professor of the Department of Soil Studies);
鈥淐orrosion potential of microbial associations – molecular and metabolic aspects鈥� (Ayrat Ziganshin, Professor of the Department of Microbiology);
鈥淚mpaired balance of excitation and inhibition during focal epileptic activity in the somatosensory cortex of a developing rat in vivo鈥� (Viktoriya Shumkova, 5th year student of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology);
鈥淪ynthesis and structure of onium salts with antibacterial and antimycotic properties for the creation of a remedy for the treatment of eye diseases in domestic and farm animals鈥� (Irina Galkina, Professor of the Department of High Molecular and Organoelement Compounds);
鈥淒igital model for predicting student academic performance at school closings based on big data and neural networks鈥� (Fail Gafarov, Head of the Department of Information Systems).
