Cooperation agreement signed by KFU, Phosagro, and Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology

The signing took place at the 6th Innoprom Central Asia fair in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The signatories were Vice-Rector for International Affairs of KFU Timirkhan Alishev, General Director of PhosAgro Alexander Gilgenberg, and Rector of MUCT Sergey Filatov.
The cooperation, now termed for one year, covers cooperation in chemistry, agriculture, and environmental protection. The sides plan to work on staff training, technological development, and marketization of scientific research.
Dr Alishev commented, “Unlike MUCT, we’re just beginning our work with PhosAgro, but I’m already confident that our collaboration will be fruitful. Kazan University is one of the leaders in chemistry education in the Russian Federation. A KFU branch operates in Jizzakh, Republic of Uzbekistan, although the chemistry program isn’t being implemented there yet. I think it’s just a matter of time. I know that PhosAgro has plans to more actively enter the Uzbekistan market. The Republic of Tatarstan operates several technology parks here, managed by Khimgrad, with which KFU closely collaborates on training personnel here in Uzbekistan. We hope that this will also become a bridge.”
The Vice-Rector also met with Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan Uktam Salomov to discuss the activities of the Jizzakh Branch, its further development, construction projects, and inclusion in Uzbekistan’s Investment Program.
