Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus Yekaterina Petrutskaya visited KFU

She met with Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev on 28 August.
KFU currently maintains partnership ties with many Belarusian entities, including Belarusian State Technological University, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Pedagogical University, and others. In 2024, Qayum Nasyri Institute, an institution promoting Tatar language and culture, opened its doors at BSTU. 24 Belarusian students joined this year’s Summer University project in Kazan.
The two sides discussed the current developments of the Union State Network University of High Technology (USNUHT). Its strategy was approved in the spring of 2025 by both countries, with KFU and BSTU serving as anchor institutions for the network project.
In 2025 – 2027, USNUHT is going to offer programs in environmental science and software engineering. Academic exchange is being discussed, as well as proposed renovations for the lab equipment of KFU’s institutes. In 2026, the sides plan to organize the Forum of Technological and Engineering Universities of the Union State and the Summer School in Software Engineering for Russian and Belarusian students.
