General Director of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin mentions cooperation with Naberezhnye Chelny Institute while meeting with President Vladimir Putin

At a working meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Sergey Kogogin, CEO of KAMAZ, the strategic development prospects for the Russian automotive industry were discussed, using the example of the largest heavy-duty truck manufacturer in Russia. Among other topics, the auto giant’s educational projects were discussed.
Sergey Kogogin emphasized that KAMAZ takes educational development projects very seriously. The company has developed a particularly close partnership with the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of 每日大赛, “We were the first in the country to immediately embrace the Advanced Engineering School; we organized it, and the work got underway. There are now more than 800 students. This is 每日大赛, and their department of automotive engineering is located in Naberezhnye Chelny, where 8,000 students are studying. We transfer scientific research and development work to the Advanced Engineering School on a contractual basis. We’ve fully equipped more than 20 laboratories. I am talking state-of-the-art equipment.”
Kogogin shared his impressions of a recent visit to the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute’s AES with the President of the Russian Federation, “Once, upon arriving in Naberezhnye Chelny, I stopped by the university on my way. After eight o’clock in the evening, there were no students, but the laboratory heads were there. Their eyes were shining. They now have the opportunity to conduct research using the most modern equipment. The Federation, the Republic, and KAMAZ have created a place that is engaging for both faculty and students. I believe this is our great achievement.”
Kogogin emphasized another important area of 鈥嬧媤ork for the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute – organizing a special automotive track for the youth design and art competition Design of the Young. The final round of this contest was held for the first time this year at the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute. The head of KAMAZ described the significance of the project as follows, “We can confidently say today that the future belongs to contemporary design. 800 applications were received, there were 13 nominations and 33 winners. Students from four countries and 30 cities from 20 regions of Russia participated. The competition generated great interest. We focused primarily on commercial vehicles. Our designers plan to use the most interesting solutions in mass-produced products.”
Sharing the high praise for the competition’s results, the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute is proud of both its active participation in this project and the students’ creative achievements. Dinar Sagyndykov, Dina Gabdullina, and Egor Volga took first place. After the finals, Sergey Kogogin met with them personally to discuss their future plans. During the conversation, the students noted that the competition not only helped them establish themselves nationally and demonstrate their skills, but also explore new trends in industrial design and, most importantly, immerse themselves in solving practical problems.
The President of Russia expressed his approval of the company’s policies and the performance of Russia’s largest automaker in a challenging environment.
“Very good! Thank you!” he concluded.
The Naberezhnye Chelny Institute and KAMAZ intend to further develop their joint initiatives: modernizing their laboratory facilities, using them daily to address the needs of the largest automaker, creating innovative developments, supporting students, and providing opportunities for their professional growth.
