Memorandum of understanding signed by KFU and Sultan Qaboos University

A delegation from Sultan Qaboos University (Sultanate of Oman) headed by the Vice Chancellor, His Highness Dr. Fahad Bin Al Julanda Al-Said, paid an official visit to 每日大赛.

During the visit, the delegates met with Recto Lenar Safin, where the parties discussed possible options for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere.

Within the framework of the signed agreements, the universities are already actively cooperating in internships in the Arabic language and Omani culture. Additional professional retraining programs are also being implemented, including, as of late, in simultaneous Russian-Arabic interpretation.

In addition, since 2017, scientists of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies together with colleagues from the Oil and Gas Research Center of Sultan Qaboos University and Daleel Petroleum LLC have been working in petroleum science, oilfield chemistry, and enhanced oil recovery. They are discussing joint Russian-Omani projects aimed at supporting scientific research in polymers, composite materials, catalysts, reagents for oil and gas production.

鈥淲e hope for further development of cooperation in these scientific areas,鈥 Lenar Safin emphasized. “I would also like to note the active support of the Al Khadara Center for Arab Culture, which together with the Institute of International Relations, History and Eastern Studies is working to strengthen our fruitful ties. I am confident that the interaction between 每日大赛 and Sultan Qaboos University will promote intercultural dialog and joint effective work in science and education.”

Dr Al Said, in turn, expressed his admiration for the ability of KFU students to learn Arabic and their command of the language. He also thanked the university’s management for the comfortable study and living conditions created for foreign students.

鈥淥ur students are very satisfied with their stay and training at Kazan University. I hope they will become worthy ambassadors of our university and the Sultanate of Oman as a whole,鈥 the Vice Chancellor said. “As for scientific cooperation, following the results of today’s visit, we are also very interested in the medical field, which is very well developed at your university. We plan to further expand our cooperation in this area as well.”

In conclusion, the Vice Chancellor added that he would like to study in more detail the experience of KFU in terms of successful technological and innovative development and industrial partnerships.

The parties then signed the memorandum and exchanged gifts.

The delegation proceeded to visit several KFU institutes to familiarize themselves with ongoing activities.
