New projects to be started with Chinese partners

Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev continues his visit to the People’s Republic.

In Beijing, together with the state publishing house, responsible for the development of English language teaching in China, a plan was agreed for the implementation of a number of projects in 2025 and 2026 at our university, including a student Olympiad in English, as well as a competition of youth journalists regarding the experience of foreign students in Russia and China.

The vice-rector also toured the to discuss bilateral media projects, including some linked with the current agenda of BRICS. The two sides plan to sign a memorandum of understanding at the upcoming in August 2025 in Kazan and to establish a joint research center.

In Hebei Province, Timirkhan Alishev met with the principals of local secondary schools to discuss cooperation in opening Russian language courses on their premises. So far, six such projects have been opened with Chinese partners to help local kids prepare for enrolment in KFU starting from 9th grade.

Dr Alishev also visited the city of Nanchang, where he held talks with the on the implementation of network educational programs, conferences, and joint scientific research in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and teacher education.
