Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University welcomed at KFU

At a meeting with Rector Lenar Safin, the parties discussed issues related to the development of further cooperation in science and education.
鈥淭he potential of our interaction is far from exhausted, and today we see new prospects for the development of scientific, innovative, educational cooperation and the launch of new projects and initiatives,鈥� Lenar Safin emphasized. “We see prospects for cooperation in such areas as biotechnology and medicine, chemistry and new materials, information technology and artificial intelligence.”
Since KNU has strong positions in humanities,, great opportunities for effective cooperation lie in the sphere of socio-humanitarian sciences.
鈥淭his is, first of all, linguistics. Our universities have achieved great success in this field, occupying high positions in subject rankings. We also propose to develop cooperation in such areas as pedagogy and new educational technologies, history and archeology, Eastern studies, and jurisprudence,鈥� he said.
In addition, the leaders discussed the possibility of doctoral and postgraduate students’ participation in the Lobachevsky Academic Mobility Program, is aimed at attracting young scientists from the OIC countries to KFU for internships.
Kazan University is also ready to organize short-term mobility programs for students of Kazakh National University.
In conclusion, Lenar Safin offered young researchers to take part in the OIC Youth Scientific Congress countries held at KFU, and students – in the Summer University, is held annually by KFU with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
Today, 332 citizens of Kazakhstan are studying at KFU. The University cooperates with 32 scientific and educational organizations of Kazakhstan.
