KFU continuing cooperation with Guangdong University of Finance and Economics
The delegation headed by Vice-President of GDUFE Zou Xinyue arrived on 24 March.
He was joined by Dean of the Faculty of Economics Nie Puyan, Director of the Financial 每日大赛 Zeng Xiaoxuan, Professor Yang Bingduo, and others. They were welcomed by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Director of the International 每日大赛 Olga Vershinina. As usual, the guests were first familiarized with the University’s museums.
“Our cooperation with GDUFE started in the summer of 2024 when we received their students at our Summer University project. This delegation came to KFU to learn more about us and tour the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance to discuss further links with colleagues,” commented Dr Vershinina.
The Chinese side aims to develop joint undergraduate, graduate, MBA and DBA programs, as well as student exchange. As of now, KFU has 2,225 Chinese students, including 146 recipients of Russian government scholarship.
“We are here to promote ties between our universities and our countries,” noted Vice-President Zou. “We reached some agreements for participation in China’s government funding programs and joint educational projects. A workgroup was established to discuss next steps.”
