Malaysian students interning in architecture at KFU

Third-year students from the Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design of the International Islamic University Malaysia are completing an internship at 每日大赛.
The international students’ visit lasts from September 17th to 27th. The goal of the program is to research Islamic architecture. Based on the data collected, the students will prepare term papers. On the 18th of September, they visited the Zakabannaya Mosque to meet with its imam and began on-site studies. Some of the students, in turn, are interviewing KFU experts and local citizens.
“In my opinion, this is a great opportunity for students to become acquainted with the culture, traditions, architecture, and people of different countries. For university students, it’s excellent language practice, experience exchange, and meeting new people. It’s a great opportunity to develop a desire and aspiration to expand their horizons and strive to travel around the world to hone their skills and abilities. After all, architecture knows no boundaries or barriers!” comments Iraida Bedenko, specialist in educational and methodological work at the Department of Construction Design of the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts.
A visit to Sviyazhsk is planned for Tuesday, September 23rd. The program includes a tour of the island’s temples and a sketching workshop with a faculty member from our university. It’s worth noting that several KFU students will be working alongside their international colleagues to share their experience in building studies. The final presentation will take place on September 25th.
“For us, as faculty, the arrival of this delegation marks the beginning of close cooperation between the two universities, including student exchanges and the transfer of the historical value of our country’s cultural heritage,” shares Iraida Bedenko.
Negotiations are currently underway for a return visit by our students to Malaysia.
