Ongoing cooperation discussed with Northwestern Polytechnical University of China


KFU was represented by Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs. Olga Vershinina, Director of the International 每日大赛, also took part in the meeting on 15 May.
The delegation of Northwestern Polytechnical University included Li Ziwei, Deputy Director of International Cooperation; Zhai Wen, Director of the International Student Admissions 每日大赛; and Liu Lu, Admissions Specialist.
Kazan University has a long-standing cooperation with universities, companies and scientific and educational centers in China. The main areas of cooperation are humanities, geology and petroleum technologies, as well as information technologies.
Presenting the university, Dr Alishev talked about its priority areas and conditions for international students. By the way, 2,084 Chinese citizens are studying at Kazan University in the 2024/2025 academic year, 141 of them on the Russian state scholarship.

For example, we are planning a program of mutual student exchange so that students can learn more about Chinese and Russian culture. By promoting friendly exchange among young people, we will have successful results in research activities. We hope that a large number of your students will visit our university and our students will come to Kazan University. We are sure that this will contribute to the dialog between the youth of Russia and China鈥, said Li Ziwei.
