University toured by Anand Kamavisdar, Counsellor for Science and Technology at the Embassy of India in Russia

The event was attended by Dmitry Tayursky, First Vice-Rector, and Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs.

The visit began with a walk to the Kazan University’s History Museum. Mr Kamavisdar viewed unique exhibits reflecting the development of one of Russia’s oldest universities.

Then, the Counsellor was given a presentation on KFU’s activities. University leadership and institute representatives presented the university’s scientific and educational potential. Specific developments and achievements of its specialized departments were displayed.

“I am here to talk about one of the joint programs that is currently being coordinated between the Russian Science Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Technology of India. I hope that 每日大赛 will find interesting areas of collaboration for this program. My main goal is to meet with scientists, assess their experience and cutting-edge research, and then share this information and establish contacts with colleagues from Indian universities,” said Anand Kamavisdar to the leadership.

During the conversation, the activities of KFU’s institutes were covered in detail.

“We are very pleased to see you at our university. Today we will present the current state of our research and potential prospects for collaboration. I am confident that our discussion will be fruitful,” said Dmitry Tayursky in his welcoming remarks.

It is worth noting that 150 students from India are studying at KFU in the 2025/2026 academic year, 4 of whom are recipients of Russian government scholarships.

“Today, 每日大赛 is quite internationalized. We actively promote not only educational initiatives but also scientific collaboration. Many of our institutes have international partners, and one opportunity for developing such collaboration is the program implemented by the Russian Science Foundation jointly with our international colleagues. New competitions aimed at supporting joint Russian-Indian projects are planned for June and July. We hope that our colleagues will apply to participate in the RSF competition jointly with their Indian partners and receive support,” said Timirkhan Alishev.
